This Committee plans and carries out a program of witness whereby the invitation of Christ to follow him is proclaimed, the church is built up by obtaining new members, and members are given the opportunity to support the on-going mission of the church through the annual Stewardship campaign. Church members are encouraged to share their faith with each other and with those who do not have a church home. Another function is to develop and carry out programs designed to acquaint new members and the public with the church, its programs, organization and membership. The annual Stewardship period each year gives members the opportunity to respond gratefully to what God has done in their lives. Psalm 24 says, "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof." Therefore all that we have belongs to God. How we live, how we use our time, talents and money, and how we take care of God's creation is what we mean by stewardship. We also work with the Budget and Finance Committee to understand the financial needs of the church for the coming year and to help inform the members accordingly. We encourage people to give to the church through wills and bequests. The church Website and newspaper announcements are maintained by this committee.
